At Velocity Elite Sports Performance, the safety and wellbeing of every child in our care is our highest priority. We are committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where all participants can enjoy sport and develop their skills with confidence.

Our policy is built on the following key principles:

• Zero Tolerance for Abuse: Velocity186 has zero tolerance for any form of child abuse, bullying, or discrimination. All concerns or allegations will be taken seriously and acted upon swiftly in line with our safeguarding procedures.

• Safe Environment: All activities are planned and delivered in a way that prioritizes player safety — physically, emotionally, and socially. Risk assessments are carried out for all venues and activities.

• Qualified & Vetted Staff: All Velocity Elite Sports Performance coaches and staff members are Garda vetted and trained in child protection and safeguarding best practices. Regular training and refresher sessions ensure our team maintains the highest safeguarding standards.

• Clear Codes of Conduct: Clear expectations are set for coaches, participants, and parents to promote respect, fairness, and positive behaviour both on and off the pitch.

• Reporting & Support: We actively encourage an open environment where children, parents, and staff feel comfortable raising any concerns. A designated Child Protection Officer is available at every camp and event to support this process.

• Privacy & Data Protection: We respect the privacy of all participants and handle personal information in line with data protection legislation.
